Risk insights.

The current in-vogue view of the enterprise is all about the exacting use of its assets. There's much ado about human capital assets, and there's even more ado about technology assets. It is a view to be admired in its positive outlook, and naive optimism.

Unfortunately, it is fundamentally flawed, and disseminates a focus away from the real barrier to building prosperity: risk.

Few understand risk, and far fewer still have the skills to manage it. It is in this new field that we have taken a leadership role.

But we have been decidedly remiss.

Up until today we had no time outside of our daily tasks for clients to promote what we do, and the benefits we bring. And it certainly did not help our marketing cause that our risk-speak was not the business-benefit-speak that most senior management understood. So we have recently added skills in communication.

In our leadership role we will be musing on insights with successful approaches to risk on both sides of the sales divide. On the side of our firm, and on the side of our clients: what we do to bring about risk management, and what our clients have accomplished through risk management.

We will present these monologue musings on this page.
